Nick hurries through the 8am hazy streets; “I’m going to be so late for work”. He passes Will’s Pawn Shop with its distinctive sign on the side of the building. “I should try to get Amy’s locket back from Will”, he thinks. He had sold it three weeks earlier to pay off a loan shark who gave him rent money. Angela was a hard landlady at the best of times. He crosses the street, hardly looking at the oncoming traffic and walks towards the huge painted sign declaring bargains. He takes a deep breath and pushes open the door.
