Alepo helps mtel launch mobile offload and public WiFi plans

  • Alepo Technologies Inc

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s leading telecommunications provider, m:tel, deployed Alepo’s Carrier WiFi solution to improve network capacity of its 3G and LTE networks by offloading traffic to WiFi. It also wanted to bolster its monetization capabilities with paid and sponsored WiFi services. Alepo’s WiFi Service Management Platform (SMP), including its industry-leading AAA, helped m:tel efficiently manage its growing number of affiliates and locations. The new service creation and advanced monetization capabilities helped the operator to introduce innovative new WiFi plans, including WiFi access for casual users, location-based plans using location-specific multilingual captive portals, personalized and contextual offers, and more. This helped maximize ROI while improving customer experience (CX). The operator further enhanced CX by automatically offloading LTE subscribers to the WiFi network in areas with limited coverage, providing consistent connectivity. In addition, by increasing WiFi usage, m:tel could save cellular resources, substantially reducing operational costs. #carrierwifi #wifi #wifismp #wifimonetization #wifioffload #telecom #captiveportal
