(Manley P. Hall) A common form of street signage, the lightbox usually displays advertisments on it’s opaque, acrylic panels. Here, the branded surface is replaced with transparent plexiglass. The piece now showcases it’s components, which are usually hidden from view. The sign’s communicative content gives way to its physical content.
