The meaning behind AReisora: ’AReisora’ is my first internet name back in 2008, ‘A’ stands for “The Artist”, ‘Rei’ means ‘being merciful/compassionate’ and ‘Sora’ means ‘The Sky’ in Japanese. ‘怜空’ is the Chinese Mandarin writing of it. “The Merciful Sky” concludes as an unity of humanity living under same sky roof / the creative outcomes of thinking, doing and feelings as an Artist.
In this S/S 25 Collection discussing the idea of a 'Perfect Modern Woman', the dress and the jacket are called “Gentle Spring” designed by AReisora. Gentle Spring Silhouettes of broad shoulder and full hips are inspired by the oil painting “Gentle Spring” 1865 by Fredrick Sandys, the full sexualised body of Persephone, which embodies a depiction of a 'perfect female-being'. For Gentle Spring Dress' Fabrics, inspired by the tale of Persephone, the goddess of nature returning from the land of the dead where she was once abducted by; the world blossoms into spring when she arises in the golden sunlight. There are two layers of fabrics, the blue square sequin represents the carnival of joy and dance; the lilac floral lace is the gentle soul sits within her body that nourishes what comes near her.
