ARISTOTEL School for Public Speaking interior design

ARISTOTEL School interior design is a project of an office rented space for public speaking school purposes. The space is in a new district with central location, Podil, Kyiv, in a 5-storey building.
An inspiring and unique project in my career. Specific authentic Ukrainian folk decoration that I advised on, is the main detail of the interior. The items are from the client’s collection - the director of the school. I designed the space minimally furnished to satisfy the needs of the school and to give the main accent to the collection’s items.
The scope of the interior was a created openspace (after the demolishing of one partition) that served a perfect transformable location for different sized groups of the school – from 1 person taking a class individually to 25 people. Originally the space had two rooms with windows and one room without . There was no washroom and kitchen. The kitchen and the washroom solutions were created by dividing the space of the room without window. Original finishes there (the raw brick wall) were kept and painted white.
The whole interior was designed in white tones, actually, (white walls, white tiles) to give accent to its dark hardwood floor, simple wooden shelves, concrete untouched (since construction of the house) ceiling, antique furniture and décor elements. I tried to keep all the elements of interior maximally raw to soften them with antique furniture and décor. The white is like a stage for it all.
In addition, this raw approach that I followed allowed me to apply the method of minimal interventions and thus to save up to 30% of the renovation budget.
