Daniel Beringer, SAP
Daniel Beringer joined SAP in 2001 as Chief of Staff of the company’s Co-CTO. After four years in the corporate headquarters in Walldorf, Germany, Daniel relocated to New York City and SAP’s Global Marketing headquarters, focusing on solutions for small businesses and midsize companies. This was the time at which SAP started committing itself to becoming the leading Cloud company. Daniel is now driving the implementation and value of emerging technologies and innovations, including IoT, AI, and VR/AR/MR, in the company’s wide array of sponsorship partner properties across the Americas, incl. the NHL, Madison Square Garden, Cirque du Soleil, NY Yankees, and much more.
Megan Berry, Octane.ai
Megan Berry has focused her career on building communities and social products. Previously, she was VP Product at RebelMouse, where she helped brands and startups drive organic growth from their content. She also ran a consulting company focused on helping early stage startups achieve momentum through community and social products. Before that, she led community and marketing at social influence startup Klout, after joining as their fourth employee. Megan graduated from Stanford Phi Beta Kappa.
Alex Capecelatro, Josh.ai
Alex Capecelatro started his career as a research scientist for NASA, the Naval Research Lab, and Sandia National Lab. He later joined Fisker Automotive heading sustainability initiatives across design and engineering. In 2010, he left to launch At The Pool and Yeti, social apps reaching members in more than 120 countries. Alex has an engineering degree from UCLA, lives in Los Angeles, and likes to ski, bike, and skydive. Follow Alex's tweets about AI, Startups, and Design at @alexcapecelatro.
Michael Witbrock, IBM Watson Research Center
Michael Witbrock received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, and is currently a distinguished research staff member at IBM T J Watson Research center, leading work at the intersection of learning and reasoning. Previously he Founded and acted as CEO at Curious Cat Company, building assistants that actually understand you and what you do, and was Vice President for Research at Cycorp, and CEO at Cycorp Europe, where he lead research in automated knowledge acquisition from text and dialogue, automated reasoning, and intelligent human-computer interaction. Previously to that he was Principal Scientist at Terra Lycos, working on integrating statistical and knowledge-based approaches to understanding web user behavior, a research scientist at Just Systems Pittsburgh Research Center, working on statistical text summarization, and a systems scientist at Carnegie Mellon on the Informedia spoken and video document information retrieval project. He is the author of numerous publications in areas ranging from neural networks, parallel computer architecture, multimedia information retrieval, web browser design, genetic design, computational linguistics and speech recognition, and is an inventor on seven US patents.
