Innovations in mainstream publishing coincide with an upsurge in the production of book art,
book works and artists’ books, many of which are either unique or available only in limited
editions. With the aid of evolving printing and binding technologies, book publishers are able to
produce visually rich and innovative mass-produced publications of a high technical quality.
I was asked to design an artists book, told to choose an artist/architect/writer and create a graphic treatment for the book showing both a visual and intellectual interpretation of the subject matter.
Artist I chose was Tim Burton.
