Associative Memory

  • Aine Kelly

This body of work was done while I studied in the University of Fine Arts in Poznan for three months. As a foreigner, my day to day life resulted in the act of photographing as a way of experiencing and understanding my environment. On returning home, I sorted through hundreds of photographs and compiled the images to represent my thought process as I experienced them. The act of looking and association to make sense of the environment is something we all do. It can be interesting and stimulating but it can also be confusing and tiring.
