The concept developed is for a new fashion media platform. It explores the integration of augmented and virtual realities into a social environment. The developed platform, Aurasma Social, is a collaboration with the existing brand Aurasma, who provide users with the ability to quickly and easily create their own augmented reality.
The service enables brands, marketers and influencers to connect with their consumers in an innovative way through immersive campaigns and content. It also provides general users with the ability to explore their interests and connects with other users in a more intimate, creative environment.
The platform is application based and prototypes of how this would look can be found in the project. The branding developed for the concept presents a 1980’s design exhibiting connotations of excitement linked to the emergence of virtual and augmented realities during this era. This also creates a multi-generation appeal to the service, further expanding the target consumer market.
