Aurora - JKR Juice

A brief set by JKR to find and brand a use for water found in space. Aurora, made from 100% pure star quality space water is used as colour enhancing eye drops to make your vision as bright as a star!

Aurora's aim is to show the world an enlightened spectrum of colour and bring the luminescence of space down to earth. We want our audience to see our planet with new eyes and fresh perspectives and bring clarity to those who can’t see it for themselves by improving vision, memory and even happiness. Our water was found surrounding a quasar, the most luminous, powerful and energetic object in the universe!
The brand driver gives a snapshot feel of the brand as whole which is colourful, wondrous and futuristic. My inspiration for eye drops started with whether astronauts could cry in space.
Inside the packaging there is a colour blindness test for users to see if the user has any form of colour blindness. It also gives recreational users something colourful to see when they first use the product. It would be sold in pharmacies and retail stores as well as on www.auroradrops.com.
I designed a website to primarily sell the product as a way of connecting to more people worldwide. The website includes pages for origin, benefits, social media and purchasing. The social media campaign teams up with Instagram to create a filter that applies the luminescence of Aurora to normal photos, this way people can share their vision with friends.
To advertise the product, I created a series of posters to encourage users to go out and experience life. Using the line ‘see something’, we want people to live to the fullest and do the things they’ve always wanted to such as seeing the Aurora Borealis or visiting a wonder of the world. As this is a mass market product that can be used for medical problems such as colour blindness or cataracts, I also wanted to connect with a young adult audience.
