Celebrating Cuban Independence Day
The Bacardí family played in instrumental role in Cuba’s independence from the Spanish in 1900. So to mark Cuban Independence Day in 2014, BACARDÍ released bats, BACARDÍ iconic logo, in over 12 different countries around the world.
The bats travelled the globe, starting in New Zealand, appearing in different countries at dusk. Each bat release, were unique creations by a series of artists, ranging from Graffiti, to interactive LED light displays and projections. Bat tagging from all corners of the earth.
In the end, bats were released in 12 countries across the globe including, Australia, Japan, India, Netherlands, UK, USA, Canada, before finishing at dusk in Mexico.
The campaign was a huge success; in it’s first week the video has received over 130,000 views on YouTube and over 8 million impressions overall.
