BAIT Magazine - 'Memory' :

  • Sid White-Jones

I am pleased to have imagery from my project ‘Dearest Malcolm and Carol’ featured within Bait Magazines latest issue ‘Memory’. BAIT Magazine was founded in 2017 by Amy Baxter in response to the Cambridge money-burning scandal. BAIT is a termly publication which discusses controversial social issues through opinion pieces, art, photography and poetry. My project explores the coincidences of family linearity by encompassing multiple variations of the photographical form, all of which allow the ageing process to be experienced through sight and touch. Working with various sentimental items, mostly photographs and letters that have been around for up to 90 years, the project looks at the ways in which memories are stored within objects.⁣ ⁣ The eight issue of BAIT Magazine, ‘Memory’ is now sold out after launching on the 11th March at Motion Sickness Project Space, Cambridge. ‘Memory’ features the work of over fifty artists and writers from within Cambridge and all proceeds from the issue have gone to The Whitworth Trust, a Charity for homeless and vulnerable women within Cambridge.⁣ For more info on BAIT Magazine visit - IG: @bait.magazine
