Baseline Magazine

Baseline Magazine is a publication devoted to typography, book arts and graphic design. The brief set was to design the cover, spreads and dust jacket of the magazine using the text from Ken Garland’s ‘Structure and Substance’. My design intentions were to make the text more engaging using a variety of images by selected designers drawn out from the text. For example, the artwork by György Kepes titled ‘Photograms’ is an impactful image as it is bled of the screen, thus drawing attention to the users.
