Create, Film, Share We are looking for volunteers between the age of 18 and 25 to develop and make a short film that commemorates the First World War and explores the theme of remembrance. We are seeking creative individuals with an enthusiasm for film-making, and for working with others to engage people with the past.
What the role entails:
As part of the Battle Bus Film Crew, you will have the opportunity to:
• Develop your filming skills, take part in storyboard development, gain knowledge of equipment and hone your editing skills.
• Work alongside museum professionals and a film-maker to explore the history of the Battle Bus and what remembrance means to others.
• Work towards achieving a Bronze Arts Award which is a nationally recognised qualification.
• Create a short film to engage people with the idea of remembrance. This will be screened in December 2018 at London Transport Museum to mark the centenary of the end of the First World War.

  • No previous film experience required

When:
Volunteer Recruitment Day: Tuesday 24 July, 12:00 – 15:00
Project dates: The project will take place every Tuesday from 7 August – 4 September 2018, 10:00–16:00
Filming dates: Acton Depot Open Weekend, Saturday 22 September, 10.30am – 4.30pm
October half term (20 October – 28 October), the date to be arranged with volunteers

This opportunity is part of the Battle Bus Project, which commemorates the centenary of the First World War with the restoration of an historic B-type bus, used to carry troops on the Western Front.
