BelTech

BelTech is an airbag deploying belt to prevent hip fractures in the elderly. The software includes an accelerometer and gyroscope that constantly analyses the persons hip acceleration and angle. Based off lots of testing and data analysis, an algorithm was designed to trigger the device when a person falls. The airbag will then provide support to the persons hip and prevent a significant fracture.
