The brief: Create a new brand identity and marketing collateral to reflect the company’s fashion style and emphasise on the hand-made and quality fabric used.​
My response: To communicate clearly the brands fashion style on the digital screen I emphasise on the content and imagery. I designed a modern layout with parallax movements, and divided the websites into several sections. Drawing the attention of the user to the "pearl" of the collection as main image but still including the categories and variety of skirts further down the page. Using big, bold type I tried to highlight the main message of the brand as trendy and diverse. As the skirts offered were differening from evening to casual style, I wanted to create a layout that creates the feeling of movement, elegance and fashion.
I started by designing a mockup page, as I didnt have any assets or copy at the time. I knew the development of the project will be done in bootstrap so I used the bootstrap guidelines to design reponsively. I also used this mockup and guides to discuss the style with the client, explain its functionality and make changes accordingly.
I was faced with a lot of issues while in development of this project. Unfortunately, all the images I received were shot in portrait, which limited my design layout. Most of the images are re-touched and edited to achieve the final look.
