London, Wednesday, 22 May 2019: A new celebration of the best digital creative in the UK was announced today. BIMA Beat will be the only creative competition of its kind, created by and for the digital industry. It will officially launch at an event in London on Wednesday, 5 June. The competition is open to anyone, aiming to act like a ‘finger on the pulse’ of the UK’s dynamic, ever-changing digital industry.

BIMA Beat is a collaboration between the UK’s digital trade body BIMA, Sony Music UK’s 4th Floor Creative and Spotify. Judges, drawn from BIMA’s Creative Council, Spotify and Sony Music UK, will evaluate work based on its creativity, user experience, trends and overall innovation. Entrants respond to a theme and submit work online. Each quarter, a shortlist will be showcased on Instagram, and winners announced at an event before the next theme is released.
Dorothy Hui, Sony Music UK - 4th Floor Creative VP, Digital & Audience Development, shared, “We at Sony Music UK’s 4th Floor Creative continuously strive to deliver world-class innovative experiences that amplify our artists’ narrative.
