I created this "Black Girls Rock" dress last year to embrace &promote my culture and empower people of colour as I feel that there isnt enough products/Art that celebrates black people- especially women, so I wanted to create something fun, that I feel represents people of colour in a bright, bubbly and afro-tastic way. I want to be able to embrace being a black woman with kinky/curly hair unapologetically and tell the world we brown girls rock! As we are so overlooked and unappreciated, we need to love ourselves and be proud of who we are, in all the beautiful shades we come in!
