Car Wash on Demand by Design.

Blink My Car is a Beirut-based  startup that services on demand car washes. Users download an application that allows them to schedule their car wash in advance. All they need to do is enter some data like their vehicle's model and where it’s located and then presto! A team of specialised cleaners do their magic. What makes this brand stand out in today’s climate is its eco-friendly approach. A Blink My Car wash requires a staggering 250 litres less water than your regular car wash. Just to put this into perspective it’s like saving 125 bottles of H2O.

We collaborated with Blink My Car’s team very early on in the startup’s ideation. They were made up of a couple of young entrepreneurs who were excited to make lives easier. The key was to translate this personality into a memorable visual universe. So we based all of our design iterations on four main pillars: Fun, Helpful, Young and Modern.  Like all startups, Bink My Car was new onto the services and tech scene. So they had a big challenge ahead of them: brand awareness and customer conversion.

Visual ID

When designing Blink My Car’s visual identity, we didn’t have to look far. We played on the word “blink” by drawing inspiration from the blinking emoji: “;)”. This allowed us to create a signature mascot for them that could later be used as a staple across promotional material. On the other hand, we also needed to reflect the brand’s standing as a startup in the services and tech industry. So we drew from visual cues that would place Blink My Car in the same league as its peers, while crafting a visual universe that would help it stand out.
By pairing warm and cold colors we struck a balance that would push bystanders to take a closer look. Our designs guided users to and through the application, so we took on every part of the bigger picture. This included social media posts, a website, uniforms and a state of the art mobile application.
