The shown images are of a book cover that was materialized for ‘Dynamic Domains’, a design thesis developed at AALU (Architectural Association Landscape Urbanism) authored by Daniel Kiss and Swadheet Chaturvedi. The project tries to negotiate between commercial fisheries present in the sensitive Antarctic Marine and the methodologies of protection of its dynamic ecosystem. As it is concerned with the human presence of Antarctica, I designed a cover which resembles the clothing of the researchers as orange is a very vibrant hue visible from long distances.

In the course of action, I also had the opportunity to attend lectures and workshops within the context of Architecture in Antarctica's extreme. This experience enabled me to appreciate functionality in its absolute. As a consequence, I decided to use open spine binding whilst also taking inspiration from the layered sample of the wall panel of the UK base (Hailey-VI). This also ensures a fully open spread, therefore allowing the reader to look at a fully open cartography without any visual hindrances.
