Brave Your Day • Magazine Illustration

When Brave Your Day announced they were launching a magazine about everyday bravery I knew I had to get involved. I collaborated with one of the magazine’s creators Charley Gavigan and local poet Calum Roger, to design an illustration that would bring to life a piece of Calum’s poetry. Having talked to Charley about how the magazine was to be printed I knew I wanted to use traditional mediums: the transparency and texture of watercolour would go perfectly with the printing techniques they had in mind. We were all pretty excited with the printed result!
