The continuous struggles of women to attain the place they deserve in the world, together with the gender discrimination still prevailing in a variety of fields, have been the starting point for my work. Considering findings from historical, psychological and social data, trying to see the issues prohibiting their evolution and the reasons behind the barriers imposed on them, made the need for such a representation apparent. The barriers are due to stereotypes having their origins in biological differences, politics, or economics. What I would like to communicate through this project is that women need to escape their own nature, together with the repression they feel from the already mentioned stereotypes and finally become free to accomplish what each one of them desires. The strength and passion that all women have inside them should be revealed. The fact that every woman can be a highly promising and totally creative human being seems a necessity still to be proven; the barriers must be broken down and women must free themselves to widen their horizons. They should experience themselves, their thoughts and feelings in a broader way. After all, a society that fails to harness the energy and creativity of its women is at huge disadvantage in the modern world.
