I was part of the team that made the Clifton Suspension Bridge App – Bridge Tales. I focused on the digital aspects of the project. Managing the online interface. I also created the app design and app store icon.
The App itself is site-specific, specific to the Clifton Suspension Bridge. It uses GPS. As a team we plotted 12 hotspots along the bridge and in the surrounding area. When the app is in use and a hotspot is reached the relevant content appears on the users screen. At the start of the work experience we were given an extensive tour of the bridge and its history to inspire ideas for content. It was clear to us that for this app; content is key to making the users experience one to remember. All the points that made it onto the app consisted of stories and facts that as a team we found interesting and exciting.
