After attending a user group consultation in Brighouse, West Yorkshire, I was presented the challenge of designing a small low level street plaza for the young skateboarders of the town. I took inspiration from the famous 'China Banks' Skate spot in San Francisco
and came up with the 12m long wall-ride as the centre piece of the design. The top of the wall-ride is edged with circular coping to keep the roller bladers happy and the surface finished in a pattern imprinted brick texture as a nod to the original. This hopefully brings a little bit of San Francisco to Yorkshire!
