Digital Product Design | 2018 Earlier in 2018, the biggest energy supplier of UK British Gas initiated a massive digital transformation by bringing multiple agencies on board. The strategy involved working on various deliverables, from a global rebrand to a website redesign — as well as a brand new mobile app for their customers. As part of this mobile project, we got involved in Publicis Sapient teams on building the British Gas app. We worked closely on some of the key features of the British Gas app — a massive data visualisation piece that displays energy consumption of the users in real-time, and a home screen redesign. The first piece was a very in-depth discovery process that required working very closely with stakeholders, while business and technical capabilities have been shaped. The second piece, on the other hand, was part of a larger service architecture redesign to be effective on the whole app, which required multiple stages of user research and testing. Following user-centric design principles, we were involved in the UX of this project and conducted a number of client workshops, as well as user interviews and testing. We were involved in this project from discovery through delivery, while consulting decision-makers in the user experience of the app. Client: British Gas Agency: Publicis Sapient Role: Lead Product Designer
