Briyah - "the World of Creation"
I must say right away that I am not a musician and aither music composer.I studied at the faculty of audio visual media art, and my main profession is a visual effects designer and cinematographer.
Despite the above, I consider music composing as amature hobby., and sometimes I use my technical skills to transfer the sound or visualrepresentation that is born in my head into reality.
Briyah - "the World of Creation or the world of the embodied thoughts - is a surreal art. The musical composition is written and completed within one evening. I used symphonic instruments and choral singing via digital piano.
The work was to record the main part, and the subsequent layering of other instruments to give the sense of completeness to the sound.
Visual representation of Briyah - "the World of Creation"
During the process of writing a musical composition, I had the certain narrative chain of visual images in my mind. The thematic basis is the surreal idea of a certain fabulous space.
This space is the world of Briyah - "the World of Creation" where a certain creature with conus hat drifts through the vast expanses, and breathes life into uninhabited planets. In result of such magic new mterial worlds are born.
I was aware from the beginning that I wil work in contrast between cosmic blue and fiery yellow colors.
The first step was to create a sketch. Then I made a storyboard with selected angles and camera movement in accordance with the musical accompaniment. Timing is about 60 seconds. Since the visual part was conceived in the style of a half-cartoon fairy tale, it was decided to avoid photographic realism in the performance of 3D improvisation and final rendering.
My intention was to convey feelings, not the technique of realisation. The final rendering was preformed with standard scanline tools without physically correct light refractions. I used key animation to perform character movements, and camera fly throughs.
