Insight
Sky wanted to provide schoolchildren with a fun, interactive and educationally beneficial service in which they got to experience first-hand what it is like to work in a news broadcasting studio.
Idea
We created an interactive educational tour of Sky's HQ studios. Additionally, the children played roles such as camera operator, scriptwriter, editor, presenter, director and producer, while working collaboratively in a state-of-the-art green screen studio and professional editing suite.
Impact
An intuitive, digitally-enabled environment that inspires, educates and promotes creativity and teamwork was completed in 2013. Five industry awards and over 100,000 young people have taken part. In 2015 a second Skills Studio was opened in Livingston, Scotland.
