'But where are you really from?' - Graduate Collection

  • Kimberley Tam
The idea of authenticity in identity is ingrained within most communities. Coming from a mixed-race background, I was brought up culturally British. This textile collection examines memories and heritage through material, whilst analysing the societal aspects of being mixed-race in Britain. The combination of ‘everything in the kitchen sink’ such as soft furnishings, artificial flowers, broken jewellery and crystals embody the variety of influences I had growing up and the people who have inspired me.
