Canon: Diary of a Street Photographer

Whilst developing a treatment for content to launch the PowerShot G5 and G9 X Canon asked for another set of films that could piggyback off the larger production. They wanted content suitable for social media that promoted the use of digital cameras over smartphones for taking quality photographs. Canon had a list of five features that had to be included.

I suggested we follow one of the young photographers we were using for PowerShot promos and see a day through their lens. The long view being for 'Diary of a Street Photographer' to become a regular series in which we follow numerous young influential photographers and hear their stories. The aim is to position cameras as an aspirational status symbol. You take pictures with a smartphone but you only take photographs with a camera.

Once Shane was confirmed as our photographer the turnaround for this project was pretty speedy. We delivered a set of five films for this first series.
