Cantami O'Diva

Still thinking that Homer's classics have nothing to say in our days? This project will challenge your ideas. Web series "Cantami O Diva", whose title takes inspiration from Homer's Iliad first verse "Goddess, sing me the anger, of Achilles, Peleus’ son, that fatal anger that brought countless sorrows on the Greeks (...)", will tell you the story of Cassandra, Thersites, Achilles and Patroclus, ancient Greek epic characters whose anger, love and pride are so deep and strong to still be able to teach us so much about life. In these short movies, their ancient vicissitudes are adapted to present-time situations: for instance, Trojan prophetess Cassandra is now a courageous hacker, fighting for proving a dangerous truth. This is the result of a high school cinema course held by "Politecnico di Torino", faculty of Cinema engineering. It was realized by a group of students supervised by a professional director and filming crew, the “Liquid Gate” studio. My apologies, trailer and short film are in Italian: I hope you will still enjoy the photography!
