The Cape to Cape MTB is a four-day MTB stage race through the South West of Western Australia. From humble beginnings in 2008, the event now holds the title of Australasia's biggest MTB multi-stage endurance race. In 2013 a sister event the Port to Port MTB was inaugurated in Newcastle, New South Wales.
My role encompassed communications elements, media management and event publicity.
Communication Elements
- Social media planning and implentation
- Mailchimp newsletter planning, content creation and distribution
- Regular website content updates
- Regular online interaction reporting to Media Team
Internal Media Management
- Booking, briefing and on-site support to photographer/s
- Briefing and on-site support to documentary film crew.
- Arranging talent and interviews for the documentary.
- Sourcing music for the documentary.
Event Publicity
- Coordination of special launch events
- Liaison with sporting talent for media placement
- Hosting International, National and local media guests
- On-site daily media release creation and distribution, coordinated with images from Photographer.
