Produced by Barbican Guildhall Creative Learning, CAPITAL is this year’s collaborative project between musicians from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and design students on the MA Graphic Media Design at the London College of Communication at the University of the Arts London and the MA Information Experience Design at the Royal College of Art. The work produced is the result of a three-month collaboration between the students and tutors and takes the form of a performance installation, combining live performance, audio visual work and installation environments. Mirador Collective, in collaboration with Kendall Perry, Chris Potts from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, created an audio-visual piece, take / reform / sell, that explores the effect of gentrification process on aspects of the residing community’s culture. Their culture is taken by development corporations, then repackaged and sold to consumers, whilst distancing the original community.
