As point person for the Campaign for Drawing (arts charity) for this workshop at the London Illustration Fair, Hoxton Arches, I was initiator and acting liaison between the charity, LIF organisers and my illustration collective LUFALO. I managed the conception, sourcing and building of props and equipment for the live workshop and worked with the LUFALO team to run it for the duration of the fair.
We created a life sized chalkboard carnival cutout and invited people to draw and be photographed with their artistic creations.
The chalkboard concept truly broke down the barriers people see when they mistakenly believe they are not good at drawing. It worked as a facilitation for the encouragement of drawing - which was great fun for participants and also promoted The Campaign for Drawing's core beliefs.
Since this premiere event, I have had the sole responsibility of the set-up, production and coordination of this workshop at several more events for The Campaign for Drawing; including the Big Draw Festival launch at the V&A Museum of Childhood and the Affordable Art Fair 2014, Battersea.
