CB Certification Scheme is a form of non-mandatory performance test certification. This is for the convenience of countries with CB accreditation. It is an international system that is operated by IECEE. To certify electrical products, IECEE test certification bodies use the IEC standard. Each member country is responsible for testing and certifying electrical products. The certificate is however a means of mutual recognition between the member countries of IECEE.
