Whilst diversity in the creative industries is flourishing, there’s still tracks to be made towards equality and inclusivity for all. This is a shared principal between the team at The Dots and our friends at WeTransfer. So, we decided to join forces and put the strength of our digital platforms together so that our audiences could discover fresh ideas and perspectives from creatives within the LGBT+ community.

Similar to our project for International Women's day, we, along with WeTransfer, gathered a list of incredible creatives from this underrepresented community to be our icons. They each then nominated 3 emerging creatives who identify at LGBT+, who they believe are set to redefine the creative landscape.

This resulted in a colourful pool of inspiration and such a sense of appreciation from the amazing people involved in the project, from across the globe.

The icons and the nominees were celebrated in a takeover of The Dots (with featured projects and profiles) and across our social platforms for 3 weeks in July /August 2017. A selection of nominees were also featured on WeTransfer's wallpapers and interviews on their 'This Works' blog - giving all involved deserved digital exposure.
