Chinoiserie 2020

This collection is based upon my research of Chinese culture, creating a modern approach to Western art influenced by China. Initially taking inspiration from ceramics during my art gallery visits and architectural stimuli taken from China town in Birmingham. Using textiles as a medium to showcase elements of a Chinese culture and communicate the awareness of its heritage. My samples are created using digital embroidery, hand embellishment/embroidery, screen print, digital design and laser for a commercial interior application.
