Stow Green asked us to create a Peter Rabbit “Classic” range of home-wares which was intended to evoke a traditional Beatrix Potter look and feel with some contemporary appeal. The range spanned various materials including ceramic, fabric, melamine and wood. I devised a colour palette based on elements from the original Beatrix Potter illustrations, utilised the signature logo throughout the range and played up on key elements from the original stories, including Peter’s handkerchief. I used the original illustrations combined with extracted line drawings to create new patterns and borders, which I then applied as placements throughout the range.
