This blog will detail the several benefits that stainless steel round bars possess.
A round bar is a long cylindrical metal bar that has a wide range of industrial and commercial applications. The shaft is the most common use. Standard diameters range from 1/4" to 24". Other sizes may exist. There are numerous metal types of round steel, such as hot rolled steel, cold rolled steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, and so on.
Mehran Metals & Alloys is a well-known for EN31 Bright Steel Round Bar Manufacturer.

Classification of round bars:

PROCESS CLASSIFICATION
Hot rolling, forging, and cold drawing are the three types of round bar. The hot rolled round bar standard is 5.5-250mm. Among them are: 5.5-25 mm tiny round bar is typically delivered in bundles of straight bars, which are commonly used as steel bars, bolts, and various mechanical components; greater than 25 mm round bar is typically used for producing mechanical parts, seamless steel tube billets, and so on.
CHEMICAL COMPOSITION CLASSIFICATION
Carbon steel is classified into three types based on its chemical composition: low carbon steel, medium carbon steel, and high carbon steel (i.e. carbon content).
MILD STEEL
Low carbon steel, also known as mild steel, has a carbon content ranging from 0.10% to 0.30% and is suitable for all types of processing such as forging, welding, and cutting. It is frequently used in the production of chains, rivets, bolts, shafts, and other similar items.
MEDIUM CARBON STEEL
Carbon steel has a carbon percentage ranging from 0.25% to 0.60%. Killed steel, semi-killed steel, boiling steel, and other goods are available. In addition to carbon, it may contain a trace of manganese (0.70% - 1.20%). It is classified into two types based on its quality: ordinary carbon structure steel and high-quality carbon structural steel. Hot working and cutting performance are excellent, however welding performance is subpar.
HIGH CARBON STEEL
Carbon concentration ranges from 0.60% to 1.70% and it can be toughened and tempered. Hammers and crowbars are composed of 0.75% carbon steel, while cutting tools like drills, taps, and reamers are constructed of 0.90% to 1.00% carbon steel.

CLASSIFICATION BY MATERIAL
Round Stainless Steel Bars
Stainless steel round bars are very resistant to corrosion. The stainless steel can withstand high acidity and be used in chlorine-containing settings or alkaline solutions.
Round Aluminum Bars
Aluminium round bars are lightweight and corrosion resistant, as well as simple to process and cut. Aluminium round bar is commonly used for supports, trim, shafts, braces, pins, and dowels.
Round Brass Bars
When strength, electrical conductivity, corrosion resistance, and spark resistance are required, brass round bars are utilised. When polished, brass has a beautiful sheen and is easy to manufacture. Marine hardware, instruments, fasteners, and fittings are some examples of brass bar applications.
We are also a Mild Steel Round Bar Manufacturer in India and EN353 Round Bar Manufacturer in India.
