‘Color is my daylong obsession, joy and torment’

‘Color is my daylong obsession, joy and torment’ photo series has been inspired by my dreams. The photos present landscapes with my ideaof space arrangement. I juxtapose different, not obviously matching elements, which despite being taken out of context, when set together paint a new picture of the world. I do it so the viewer could believe what they find, but also feel its distinctness. I entitled the work with a quote by Claude Monet, who used it to describe the series of his works, depicting the cathedral in Rouen. By referring to his words, I wanted to highlight how important it is in life to observe the light which shapes the color surrounding our life. Both the dreams and the correlation of nature with the elements form the human world, refer to surrealism that was my main inspiration to create the series.
