Manchester Girl is part of the wider City Girl network, an online network dedicated to helping empower, inspire & support through events, online magazine and social media communities. As of 2023, the network helps over 100,000 women across 20 cities call their city home. Objectives - Grow YoY Manchester Girl members across Instagram andFacebook platforms by 10%. - Maintain high Facebook group engagement rate of 60-70%. - Increase video content for Instagram reels and Tik Tok. Solution - Create Facebook monthly pinned thread discussion posts to declutter the feed and ensure repetitive community questions around housing, beauty, jobs etc. are sent to this post. - Map-out a content communications schedule with the volunteer team which showcases upcoming events, online magazine articles about things to do in Manchester, inspirational women in Manchester, competitions, support and advice. - Increase video content for Instagram reels and Tik Tok to encourage the algorithm to show content in feeds and maintain high engagement rates. Results - Facebook community grew by 350% from 3,000 in 2020, to 14,000 in 2023, with an average of 300 new members and 200 new posts per month in 2023. - Maintained high Facebook engagement rate of 75% (average of 11,000 out of 14,000 in 2023). - Grew Instagram followers by 500% from 300 to over 2,000 in 2023. -Focussed on sharable video content for Instagram reels and Tik Tok.
