Witness focuses attention on mental health and its consequences on both the individual and those around them. Drawing from the personal experiences of Co-Artistic Director, Kevin Edward Turner, the piece is a sensitive and emotionally powerful portrayal of an often misunderstood illness.
After identifying the lead image, a series of semi opaque, halftone duplicates were created to produce a fractured effect. The intention being to reflect the often confusing and extreme episodes that characterise bipolar disorder.
Stark graphic elements were then interwoven with the photography in print material, and the production title and typography in animated gifs and films.
