FT HSBC LEADERSHIP BRIEFING SERIES | Redesigning the UK’s trading position in a post Brexit world
Design: After Brexit, the future of the UK relationship with the world needed to be revised. Actions needed to be taken in order to adapt to the new trading model. The design shows a sliding puzzle, a combination game that challenges a player to slide pieces on a board to establish a certain end-configuration, unknown by the player. The tiles, containing pieces of the world map, are mixed as a reference to the current situation mentioned before. The board works as a container and is linked to the brand through the colours.
The series took place in London and Hong Kong in 2017.
FT FUTURE OF RETAIL | Omni-strategy in the Digital Era
Design: The way people purchase their goods is changing, we chose to buy certain things online and others on the physical store. The design shows a real and digital basket, chosen as symbols of retail from the consumer perspective. Both were combined to show evolution and a future where digital shopping is growing but traditional shopping is still an option, for customers and retailers.
The event took place in London in October 2016 and September 2017.
FT CLEAN ENERGY WEEK | FT Climate Finance Summit | FT Energy Transision Strategies | FT Circular Economy Summit
Design: The world faces a new challenge: the transition from fossil fuel based energy to low-carbon energy and the shift towards an economy where waste doesn't exist. The three consecutive full-day conferences focused on energy, climate and economy provided a platform to discuss the major trends transforming the industry. The design represents energy in an abstract and dynamic way evoking the movement the industry is undergoing.
The event took place as a single day conference in 2016 and as a three-day conference in 2017.
FT/WIPRO EXECUTIVE DINNER FORUM | Man V. Machine: Does it have to be either/or?
Design: We create the machines taking ourselves as models but with the aim of being perfect. The design was made using the complex imagery of the machine/brain as well as the human aspect combined to propose a different perspective for the future: instead of trying to make the machines think like us, think as a machine. The colours were chosen to evoke the ambitious, mysterious and calm but non-stoping aspect of the topic.
The event took place in Davos, Switzerland, in 2016.
FT JBS FUTURE OF FOOD SUMMIT | The Innovations and Technologies Transforming the Way We Produce and Consume Food
Design: As the world population grows and food security is threatened, the challenge for food companies is to produce more food, more efficiently and more sustainably. From vertical planting to lab-grown meat, the industry is facing a whole change of how we produce food. Laboratories are becoming the new farms. This design shows an fictional future where all the food we eat is made 100% in laboratories. Test tubes contain coffee, juice and water; a petri dish bring us cheese and ham; a big flask can produce fruits, etc. The design shows a colorful table containing a full Brazilian breakfast alongside lab equipment used to create it.
The event took place in Sao Paulo in 2017.
FT FUTURE OF MANUFACTURING: ASIA | Transitioning into the Age of Automation and Connectivity
Design: There is not only one way to produce, now 3D print technology, AI, robotics and drones, nanotechnology, sensor technology, etc are part of the game. The proposal contains the main tools the manufacturing industry can use for this new age all connected as a plastic model kit, representing the mass production aspect of it. The colour palette is bright and desaturated in order to balance the complexity of the elements shown.
