Concept video | Needed Me - Rihanna
Three years ago, I choreographed, directed and released my first solo dance concept video to Rihanna's 'Needed Me' from her eighth studio album 'ANTI'.
Needed Me was a markedly darker, more bold departure from my usual style of choreography.
Moody, gritty and full of attitude, I ensured that everything from the vocabulary of our movement down to the edit of scenes was tailored to embody the tone of the song.
After creating the choreography and conceptualising the look and feel of the piece, I teamed up with close friends and talented dancer/creatives to make the video come together.
The video gained over 1,000 views on Vimeo and received great engagaement, views and shares on Facebook and Instagram.
