Conjunction :

Space. Room, Building, City, Country, Planet, Solar System, Galaxy, Universe. Conjunction presents the subtle similarities between learning spaces and science-fiction archetypes. Juxtaposing photographs of the solar system beside industrial frameworks the structure of this work allows for a diverse collection of technological and universal elements to be collated as one. Whilst one acknowledges the far-reaching expanses of space, it is not something any of us can truly apprehend. A structure that is near impossible to grasp. Self-Printed Edition- An astrological Conjunction is the united energies of two planets that are combined as they draw closer to one another. They are not truly joined, nor are they apart and each sphere does not acknowledge the other as either whole or separate. When two planets work this way in unison they become hard to distinguish between through readings. This project was also part of a publication which mirrors the actions of planets within its pages. There is no definitive way to read, no clear structure or order, and no roots from which to take cues from. This is a purposeful effort to allow the mind to question the nature of spaces, the ones that we occupy and the ones that we do not.
