Contact: was an installation style production. The screens displayed busts of people talking/ listening/ looking around. Over time within the space audience members would realise that the people on the screens were having a conversation with each other. Due to the positioning of screens the people projected were actually able to glance at each other and appear to interact. While the audience could not hear the conversation taking place, through expression and gesture the audience were able to watch the conversation progress. Chairs were scattered throughout the space and the audience were invited to explore freely.
Contact was the first of three performances which were presented consecutively over one evening. Existing within one space the changes between each separate piece were evident through lighting and projection changes, shifts in soundscapes and the differing personas of any performers.
