I'm no Photo journalist by any means but I really wanted to witness this event and capture some images of a protest which might not have any lasting effect but which successfully and with great humour, stated what I think most of us here in the UK think about Donald Trump. The people I met on the day were very well humoured and came from all walks of life.
I made these pictures a tad more dramatic by using a large off camera flash unit which I held in my left hand. This technique is similar to the way Helmut Newton used to approach many of his fashion location shoots. It has the effect of giving the subject a significant presence in the picture and seperating it from the background with an almost 3D look.
