Self portraits define the artists’ ‘true self’, but what happens when you’re afraid to be seen? For my series Coy, I explore self representation to determine just how much of myself I’m comfortable exposing. I took advantage of the dark room chemical process to create portraits that are part developed, allowing my form to be fully seen by the camera but partly hidden from society. ​ All prints are unique and were made by hand in the darkroom.
