Crossmaking is an exhibition proposal that looks into the gendered division in crafts and arts, as well as the relationship between artist and artisan. Gendered connotations in materiality still persist today, reinforcing assumptions, and having an impact on how different crafts are categorised and taught. My aim is to breaks such assumptions in fabriculture using wood and textile as the two poles for masculinity and femininity. Photographs taken by Ignasi Casas. RSA Student Awards. London 2015.
