During the summer of 2017, our small team at Onestone Media put our collective heads together and conceived the idea of the UK’s first cryptocurrency investor show. Born out of our existing knowledge and relationships within the traditional investment sector and the fast emerging, and hard to ignore, blockchain and crypto communities – we felt that the time was right to open the space up to the everyday investor.
As the lead designer and creative director of the Crypto Investor Show I was initially solely responsible for the logo design and creation of the brand identity and website. Once those fundamentals were established I worked closely with now expanded marketing and sales departments and event director to ensure that they had the necessary collateral to market and promote the show as we’d first intended. As the event neared and social activity and marketing increased I was also responsible for sourcing and managing freelancers that were necessary to fulfill the requirements of the show.
The event exceeded our expectations with over 4,000 attendees on the day and received rave reviews, which was a testament to the hard work the entire team had put into the event.
The Crypto Investor Show afforded me the opportunity to see this ambitious project from embryonic beginnings to a fully fledged show in the center of Westminster. Throughout I was the lead designer for a far-ranging array of assets including: event signage and assets, screen idents and holding screens, social media and IAB assets, press advertising, print & digital advertising on the London Underground and creation of the website and event round-up video.
