Many of the representations of dinosaurs in pop-culture are misleading. Despite wide access to up-to-date scientific information about dinosaurs, the impact of incorrect examples is widespread in the media. For example, shows such as "Barney and Friends" show 2-legged dinosaurs walking with an upright posture and dragging their tails behind them, that these dinosaurs never actually had. This has led to a “cultural inertia” in which outdated science remains in the public consciousness.
